We have already seen the first look of Batman V Superman via the teaser trailer that was released two months ago. We won’t get to see the movie until next year March. EW has released some images from the movie. These images reveal Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor for the first time. We also see Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot as Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince.
Though we have already seen the set photos of Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, this the first time we got a glimpse of Diana Prince. They look pretty close in the picture what seems like a Wayne charity event. I must say Gal Gadot is an awesome choice for Wonder Woman. I am happy that they are not forming a triangle between Louis/Clark/Diana
We also get our first look at Jesse Eisenberg playing the Superman’s arch nemesis Lex Luthor . The photo is either before he loses his hair or he is sporting a wig.
The EW article basically emphasis on Ben Affleck’s role as The Dark Knight.
“We accept that [Batman’s] played by actors with different interpretations,” he said, comparing the character to an American Hamlet. As for his interpretation, Affleck explained his version of Wayne is “at the end of his run and maybe the end of his life. There’s this sort of world-weariness to it … He’s on the verge of being swallowed up by the anger and the rage that we see haunt this character in the other manifestations of it, but this guy is further down the line and has become more embittered and cynical.”
Also the magazine explained the condition of Wayne Manor in the movie.
Much like Wayne himself, his home has aged considerably, now appearing as “a desolate husk, overtaken by weeds and water-stains after years of neglect.”
Also the cover of the magazine features fresh images of Batman,Henry Cavill’s Superman and the Wonder Woman. We also get to see close up of Batman and Superman face off and armoured Batman with the Bat Signal.
I think more things will be unveiled at next week San Diego Comic Con. Till then catch the glimpse of all the images which were released.
