Marvel is on fire, literally after a series of awesome Comic movies, they are now entering into your idiot box. After Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., they Agent Carter this month. Yes, the Captain America’s girlfriend from Captain America: The First Avenger movie. Starring Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, I would say Marvel has really nailed it. The Pilot episode follows up directly after the end of the Captain America movie when Captain Steve Rogers decides to crash land the HYDRA aircraft into a dive and crashes it into a glacier below after intense fight with Red Skull in the cockpit.  Captain tells Agent Carter over radio that their dance will have to wait….

Agent Carter is in the town!

And just after this, show picks up. It shows timeline of 1946 and finally peace has been dealt with after the war. Peggy carter finds herself insignificant when the men return home from war. She is working for the secret agency SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), but find her stuck doing administrative work and running errands for others when she would rather be back out in the field taking down the bad guys. But we are talking about 1940’s here, life as a single woman in America wasn’t easy especially after losing the love of her life, Steve Rogers – aka Captain America.

We also see Howard Stark, yes Tony Stark’s dad in Agent Carter and before you ask me, Yes he is also a brilliant scientist and inventor, with a genius-level I.Q AND displays himself as something of a womanizer in public. In the show, he is somehow in a big trouble and ask for Agent Carter helps with his accomplice butler Edwin Jarvis (yes the Butler, not Tony’s Just A Rather Very Intelligent System, or J.A.R.V.I.S.) 😉

Currently, 3 episodes of Season 1 has been aired and the show has become interesting. I am sure it will pick up the pace soon and it’s gonna unfold the unseen side of Marvel Universe, yes the 1940-50s. It will be interesting to see what all characters they introduce. As of now, Hayley Atwell is doing amazing job playing Peggy Carter. She maintains a perfect balance in being a badass Agent and ladylike stature.

Here is a trailer for you folks:

It’s very fascinating to see that now we have TV shows of both the Comic giants Marvel and DC running in their Universe’s origin era *cough*Gotham*cough* 😀 Let’s brace ourselves for the awesomeness of  all TV shows coming back next week including The Flash, The Arrow and then The Walking Dead next month.
